Jimmy Ong:
Ancestors on the Beach

One of Singapore's leading contemporary artists shows his latest series of works in his first major solo exhibition in Singapore in 11 years.

Presented by Valentine Willie Fine Art Singapore and titled Ancestors on the Beach, the show comprises 15 characteristically monumental charcoal drawings on paper, executed between 2003 and 2006.

Ong, who is currently based in Vermont, USA, continues his explorations of the human condition and human relationships, visualised through iconic, unconventional and provocative compositions of two or three large figures. Each painting has a height of over 2 metres.
